Where should  Hala Madaniya /Family Book be issued?

Please note that Hala Madaniya (Family book) is issued by the authorities of the place of your birth only. If you were born in the UK, the Hala Madaniya will be issued by this Consulate. If you were born in Morocco, you need to request it at your place of birth or you may give power of attorney to someone who may do it for you. 

The Hala Madaniya (Family book)  requirements for Moroccan nationals born in UK are:

*  A written request.

*  Original of the biometric Carte Nationale of wife and husband. (For a non Moroccan Mother Passport and birth certificate).

*  2 photos

*  Consular card. (If not registered with us, please refer to "registration" within this website).

*  Original of Marriage certificate.

 

Fees for Hala Madaniya / (Family book)?

 * The Fee for the Family Book is 170 DHs paid cash in pounds depending on the currency rate.

 

How to register a child born from Moroccan parents or a Moroccan Father and a non Moroccan Mother?

These are the requirements to register a child born from a Moroccan father and a Moroccan or non Moroccan Mother:

* Original of Hala Madaniya. (Family book)

* Child's full birth certificate issued by the British authorities.

*  Original of the biometric Carte Nationale of wife and husband (For a non Moroccan Mother Passport and birth certificate).

* Original of Marriage certificate.

*  Consular card. (If not registered with us, please refer to "registration" within this website).

 

Can I register my child if I do not have Hala Madaniya / Family Book yet?

Yes you may register your child if you do not have Hala Madaniya (Family book) yet, providing you will get one as soon as possible. You will have to sign a paper (Istilhak) and you will need:

* Child Full birth certificate issued by the British authorities.

* Original of Marriage certificate.

* Original of the Mother's carte nationale. (For a non Moroccan Mother passport and birth certificate).

* Original of   Father's Carte nationale.

 

How to register a child born before April 2, 2007 from a Moroccan Mother and a non Moroccan Father?

 To register a child born before April 2, 2007 from a Moroccan Mother and a non Moroccan Father, you need the citizenship certificate of the child from a court in Morocco prior to registration at the Consulate. These are the requirements for Moroccan Citizenship Certificate:

* Child full birth certificate issued by the British authorities translated into Arabic.

* Original of Marriage certificate if available. (Translated into Arabic).

* Original of the Mother's carte nationale.

* Mother's Full birth certificate issued by the authorities of her place of birth. (If born in UK the  Full birth certificate of the Mother will be issued by this Consulate).

After a Moroccan Citizenship certificate is issued by a court in Morocco this Consulate will register your child and these are the requirements:

* Moroccan Citizenship certificate issued by a court in Morocco.

* Child Full birth certificate issued by the British authorities.

* Original of Marriage certificate if available.

* Original of the Mother's carte nationale.

* Father's birth certificate and passport.

 

How to register a child born after April 2, 2007 from a Moroccan Mother and a non Moroccan Father?

 Please note that Moroccan citizenship certificate is not required for the registration of children born after April 2, 2007 from a Moroccan Mother and a non Moroccan Father.

These are the requirements for registration:

* Child Full birth certificate issued by the British authorities.

* Original of Marriage certificate.

* Original of the Mother's carte nationale.

* Father's birth certificate and passport.

Fees for child registration?

* The Fee for child registration is 40 DHs paid cash in pounds depending on the currency rate.
