THE CONSULATE GENERAL ABOUT MOROCCO



   

MARIAGES

 Foreigners wishing to Marry a Moroccan National at the court in the Kingdom of Morocco will have to provide the following:
 

*    Valid passport.

*   4 photos.

*   Birth certificate. (Has to be translated and certified by the UK Foreign Office Legalization Department (Apostille).

*   Certificate of conversion to Islam. (May be done in Morocco at the time of Marriage process).

*    Criminal records issued by the police in UK. (Has to be translated and certified by the UK Foreign Office Legalization Department (Apostille).

*    Divorce certificate (decree absolute) if you have been married before. (Has to be translated and certified by the UK Foreign Office Legalization Department (Apostille).

*    Certificate of no impediment stating that you have never been married before issued by the UK registrar Office. (Has to be translated and certified by the UK Foreign Office Legalization Department (Apostille).

*   Proof of employment along with the last 3 months pay slips.

*   Certificate of capacity from British Consulate in Morocco. This has to be requested from the British Embassy in Rabat.

Criminal records from the Ministry of justice in Rabat.

Medical Certificate stating no communicable diseases issued by a doctor in Morocco.

Please note that women do not require the following documents:

*   Certificate of conversion to Islam.

*   Proof of employment along with the last 3 months pay slips.
